About Us – Meet Marie
My name is Marie Stopani, and photography has been part of my life since high school, when I was given my first camera and never really put it down.
That camera opened the door to something I loved right away: capturing people, emotions, details, and the little moments that might otherwise pass by unnoticed. I went on to study photography in college, where I learned more about style, composition, lighting, and how to create images that felt like me.
Over the years, photography has taken me through many different seasons. I spent time at Sears Portrait Studio, where I learned how much I enjoyed working with people and helping them feel comfortable in front of the camera. In 2008, I found my way into wedding photography when my brother got married — and I quickly realized how special it is to be trusted with such an important day.
Capturing the story as it happens
One of my favorite parts of wedding and event photography is getting to feel like part of the family for a day. I love watching the story unfold — the big moments everyone is waiting for, and the small ones people may not even realize are happening.
My style is relaxed, natural, and photojournalistic. I try to capture the day honestly, without interrupting the moment or pulling people away from the experience. Of course, there is a time for portraits and posed photos, but I also believe some of the most meaningful images happen in between.
A laugh. A smile. A quiet look. A happy tear. A detail someone spent months planning.
Those are the moments I love to preserve.

Picture Perfect Moments grew from a love of photographing people and the meaningful chapters in their lives. Today, I capture weddings, engagements, portraits, family moments, senior and prom portraits, baby showers, parties, and special events.
Whether I am photographing a wedding day, a couple celebrating their engagement, a family portrait session, or a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, my goal is always the same: to help people feel comfortable, enjoy the moment, and walk away with photos that feel genuine.
